This happened at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital). How does a Medical Superintendent who is also an SMO allow critical medical equipment like a CT Scan and an MRI Scan machines to remain out of order for over 2yrs & still draw monthly wages? Even wash rooms were in a state of desuetude. It has to take the ubiquitous Sector Minister, Hon Minta Akando, to discover this horrible state of affairs in one of our most important referral hospitals. Don’t they even have internal auditors who could have detected this in an audit? I’m so sad.
