There is a lot of misinformation circulating about the missiles mentioned by the UK Defence Secretary and Cyprus, so let’s clarify what was ACTUALLY said. The UK Defence Secretary did NOT say Cyprus was the target. He stated that two Iranian missiles were fired in the direction of Cyprus, but clearly added: 👉 “We don’t believe they were targeted at Cyprus.” The point he was making was about regional risk, not a direct attack on Cyprus. Given the geography, Israel is extremely close to Cyprus. Missiles aimed toward Israel or military activity in that area can naturally pass through or near the wider Eastern Mediterranean airspace, which includes Cyprus. That proximity raises concern — but concern does not mean Cyprus was the intended target. In fact, the minister’s message was that Iran’s response appears wide-ranging and indiscriminate across the region, creating risks for nearby areas and military personnel, even when they are not the intended objective. So let’s be accurate: ✅ Missiles were detected heading in a direction that concerned the area. ❌ Cyprus was NOT confirmed as a target. ❌ There is no statement saying Iran attacked Cyprus. Accuracy matters, especially during tense regional events. Let’s share facts — not panic.

Σήμερα η Εθνική Φρουρά της Κύπρου πραγματοποίησε άσκηση μαζί με τη φρεγάτα Κίμων (F-601) του Ελληνικού Πολεμικού Ναυτικού, πολύ κοντά στις ακτές της Κύπρου. Την ίδια ώρα κάποιοι στην Ελλάδα διακινούν προπαγάνδα ότι δήθεν η φρεγάτα «πήγε στο Ισραήλ για να προστατεύει τον ισραηλινό εναέριο χώρο». Η πραγματικότητα είναι απλή: η Κίμων επιχειρεί στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο στο πλαίσιο ασκήσεων και αποστολών ασφάλειας στην περιοχή Κύπρου και της ΕΕ. Αφήνω εδώ και το βίντεο από την άσκηση. Τα υπόλοιπα περί «Ισραήλ» είναι απλώς πολιτική προπαγάνδα.
