In my new role as Chief Executive Officer of VALUETECH Devices Limited, we are currently restructuring the company, onboarding staff, and establishing operational management procedures. One of our new senior staff members, who will hold a very important position, experienced difficulty contacting me via calls and texts for about three days. I realized that the phone he had been using for the past three years was in poor condition and no longer supported WhatsApp or other essential apps. He had given his good phone to his son who is in university. Out of my own pocket, I purchased a new OPPO Reno 12F (12GB/256GB) for him as a gift, a phone worth over ₦500,000. Despite not having officially resumed yet, this individual, who has over 16 years of experience in his field, has already secured two important distributors for us in the southwest region. He was extremely grateful and eager to start work tomorrow, but I reminded him that his official start date is May 1st, as stated in his offer letter. I believe this act of generosity will foster a positive work environment and contribute to the company's growth.
