Illegal Israeli Property Sales in Canada and US According to this video, the Keller Williams Israeli real estate event hosted at Aish Hatorah synagogue in Thornhill on March 3, 2024 was reportedly selling land in at least one illegal settlement. It appears that only those who registered received the details. The gentleman who shared the video was refused entry because he was not Jewish or because he was wearing a Palestine hat -- He did get the registration confirmation with the details. This second video shows that they are selling properties in Modi'in Illit, which is a Haredi Jewish-Israeli settlement organized as a city council in the West Bank, situated midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Built on the land of five Palestinian villages–Ni'lin, Kharbata, Saffa, Bil'in, and Dir Qadis–Modi'in Illit was granted city status by the Israeli government in 2008. The international community considers Israeli settlements illegal under international law. Selling properties only to a particular group is also illegal. This is Matan Ahlfeld, CEO of Axiom Media Inc. He was charged this weekend at an overpass demonstration on the 400 & King, expressing anger at the banners displayed. Witnesses state that Ahlfeld attacked an anti-war demonstrator with a bat, striking him three times and causing injuries to his leg, hand, and back. Ahlfeld's firm has previously worked with both the Liberal and Conservative parties, raising concerns about impartiality. It is unclear if police have filed charges. We demand immediate accountability for this violent incident, which we view as an anti-Palestinian and Islamophobic attack. This is clearly hate-motivated. Let us hope that the Crown does not drop the charges, if any, like they did with Lorna Bernbaum whose charges for assaulting a protestor was dropped last week because, according to the Crown, she may have been provoked by pro-Palestine chants.

May he rest in peace. “I will no longer be complicit in genocide,” he reportedly said in the video. “I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest.” He then lit himself on fire while yelling “Free Palestine!” until he fell to the ground. I can say without a doubt that Aaron Bushnell had a heart of gold and a conscience that shames most of us. I for one will make a donation in his name to a Palestinian charity. Join me. Of course, I am not condoning or justifying such extreme actions.

Here is an excellent must-watch video on what transpired in Amsterdam. As I previously posted, while the attacks on Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer fans were deplorable, they were not antisemitic. The fans were not targeted because of who they were or where they came from but because of their actions and words. I am not justifying violence, only providing context. It’s unfortunate that Western politicians, elites, and much of the media once again served as propagandists for misleading Israeli narratives. This kind of ‘crying wolf’ and spreading of false narratives is not only increasing antisemitism but also causing the media to lose whatever little credibility it has remaining. Great work!

Did the Toronto Transit Commission TTC Service Alerts TTC Customer Service enact new rules that violate the right to free expression regarding protest signs? Or do you have rules exclusively restricted to signs or verbiage opposing the slaughter of Palestinians? As far as I know, there’s no rule prohibiting political posters or shirts as long as they don't incite violence or disrupt safety and comfort. Has the TTC changed its stance on this? Asking for a lot of friends. Thank you, Trixi Jones, for speaking up and sharing.
