Her parents, Ahmad Ghasemi and Gandom Kashani, are well-known fraudsters from Golestan province, Iran (my parents’ hometown). They were prosecuted multiple times for fraud before fleeing Iran overnight about seven years ago and seeking asylum in Toronto. Before escaping, her father ran a fake real-estate presale scheme and took money from over 300 people—hundreds of thousands of dollars at the time. Many victims had invested their life savings, hoping to earn a modest profit from the project. My aunt was one of them. She and her husband had worked for over 30 years, carefully saving that money so they could invest it and eventually help their three sons buy homes and get married. Today my cousins are married but still rent. The savings their parents had built over three decades, was completely wiped out in this fraud. The stress from this betrayal was so severe my uncle suffered a minor stroke. And now? That same family loudly protests the Islamic Republic and supports war against Iran—while living in a Toronto home bought with stolen money from fellow iranians, now worth millions. Do you see the pattern? People who destroyed the lives of hundreds of Iranians now lecture the world about corruption and claim they fight for a “free Iran”—while asking foreign powers to bomb the very country they robbed. They are some of the most toxic and morally bankrupt individuals you will ever encounter. Never trust them or let them into your close circle!!
