In school my first language was Hindi, second was French, and third was English. Telugu never had a place on the timetable, so I never really learned it. When I spoke it, it came out like Manchu Lakshmi Telugu. People laughed at the accent. My parents were practical about it. I finished CA, got a job, and everything I needed happened in English. Telugu seemed useless. Then one day a friend asked me to read a Telugu text. I couldn’t. I had never learned to read or write it. Instead of English rap, he told me to listen to AbhinavaKavi. I was mesmerized. Telugu is so versatile that you can make rap that is musical in a way Hindi or English simply cannot match. Then I discovered *Dvyakshari* — an entire poem or song built from just two letters. No other language on the planet can do that the way Telugu can. That is when I fell in love with it. The way some people fall for Korean, I fell for Telugu — its history, its culture, its music. I still feel ashamed that I have not sat down and learned its vast grammar. JaiHo: Subhash Ghai asked ARR to make a tune for his film "Yuvraaj" it was very much delayed and ARR made Sukhwinder to make a tune and give it to Subhash Ghai which was rejected by him due to bad tune Later same song was used by ARR for film Slumdog Millionaire And Sukhwinder was paid Rs.5L. Arr used to say that he is only a Brand name but music is being done by various artists.. Most of the ARR music is copied from music notes of Trinity Music college and other Hollywood music studios and ARR just do altering of jazz, flute etc and rebrand it
