In 1985, a married couple took MDMA on CBS News and described it as the most peaceful experience of their lives. The DEA's own judge said it should stay legal. The DEA overruled him. Same classification as heroin. 40 years later we're still fighting to undo it.

66 years ago today, Harvard Professor Timothy Leary took magic mushrooms in Mexico for the first time. "I learned more about my brain, I learned more about psychology, in the 5 hours after taking these mushrooms than I had in the preceding 15 years doing research [at Harvard]."

You were told psychedelics are dangerous. Here's the guy who dosed the Grateful Dead explaining what they're actually dangerous to. [Ken Kesey on LSD, ~1987]

The first effect of psilocybin isn’t hallucinations. It’s better eyesight. Terence McKenna described magic mushrooms as “chemical binoculars.”

"DMT is a reliable method for crossing into a dimension that human beings have debated the existence of for 50,000 years. Is there an invisible nearby world inhabited by active intelligences with which human beings can communicate? You bet your booties there is." -Terence McKenna

"We have the money, the power, the medical understanding, the scientific know-how, the love and the community to produce a kind of human paradise. But we are led by the least among us — the least intelligent, the least noble, the least visionary." Terence McKenna, 1999

DMT takes you somewhere your mind was never built to go. Nothing you've read explains it. Nothing you believe prepares you for it. You just arrive and go "what the fuck IS this."

2-CB is my favorite psychedelic. Shulgin called it: "xxxxxxxxxxxx" And I have to agree with him. It's clean, vivid, and everything I love about MDMA, just ramped up.

DMT is always scary. The anxiety starts when you smell it. Anyone who says DMT isn't scary is either lying or insane.
