Nobody kidnapped in Isapa The media houses reporting the abduction of some residents of Isapa communin Ekiti LGA of Kwara State following that attack by bandits yesterday didn’t get their fact correctly. No resident of Isapa was abducted during the incident. When the bandits invaded the community, they were confronted by the local vigilante team. The bandits shot repeatedly at one of the vigilante members, but the bullets did not penetrate him. That is the vigilante man in the video The resistance by the vigilante caused the bandits to retreat in fear. As they fled through Eruku, the fleeing bandits encountered some Hausa individuals and a woman, whom they abducted in an attempt to claim a false sense of victory. Journalists or media organisation should always do their due diligence and exercise greater responsibility in their reporting. ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS Today being 27/08/2026 at about 1730 hrs, while some men of VGN were on duty on the road at Alaganran area, Oke Amu via Ipapo, they intercepted three men on a motorcycle and searched one of them named Abubaka m' of alaganran area via oke amu and found a cash sum of #70,000 naira on him. While questioning him on how he got the money, the other two ran into the bush and escaped but were traced to their camp. At the camp, one hawawu Abubaka f wife of one of the men that ran from the men of VGN was seen trying to ran into the forest with a bucket, she was stopped and searched and a cash sum of more than #4.2 million naira was found in the bucket. During further search of mohammed sanni home, one (type) gun was recovered hence the said Abubaka sanwas arrested and brought to Ipapo Police Station with the gun and the motorcycle and were subsequently handed over to Monitoring Unit based in Iseyin. ©️
