The 2006 Rose Bowl on ABC with Keith Jackson, his final game announcing CFB, and Dan Fouts on the call. #2 Texas (12-0) upset #1 ranked USC (12-0) 41-38 to win the National Championship. It's one of the greatest CFB games ever.

When told by a teammate that Christian Okoye was in the game at FB, Steve Atwater replied, "I don't give a fuck!" and then delivered one of the greatest hits in NFL history. Great clip.

Fun fact. Merton Hank's "Chicken Dance" celebration came from Sesame Street. Merton was watching the show with his daughters when Bert & Ernie began to dance around making them laugh. He then repeated the dance in his backyard to make them laugh again.

"Black 59 Razor" is one of my favorite NFL Films clips. Love the break down of how Montana was processing the defense during the play. 🎥 credit: Old Time Football 🏈

Miss this NFL. Nothing like John Madden and Pat Summerall on the call, outdoor games on grass in the elements and aggressive, physical football.

I miss the NBC game intros for NBA playoff games in the 90s. Peak NBA broadcasting, nothing comes close imo. Here is the intro for Game 1 of the 1993 NBA ECF, Bulls vs Knicks.

If you were a kid into sports in the 70s/80s, "This Week in Baseball" hosted by Mel Allen was appointment television. The show would air just before the "NBC Game of the Week" on Saturday afternoons. Great doubleheader for baseball fans.
