You won’t believe what just happened, but this is our girl. So nice and humble. We were in front of the main entrance but the event organization changed and Becky came out from another exit. It usually starts with dehumanizing the artist and it can go all the way to convincing yourself you have a claim over that person’s body, life or choices. Here the “object” is literally Nanno’s body. Ofc the final scene is surreal and meant more as a symbol than something real. It’s meant to exaggerate an ending that builds step by step: every time her fans complained they weren’t getting enough from her, Nanno played along and kept raising the stakes, eventually putting her own body on the line for the sake of “my body my choice”. Still not satisfied with the final result, the entitled fans are left with no choice but to split (and destroy) what they paid for and think they have the right to claim. It’s not unusual in cinema for dramatic hyperrealism to appear in final scenes. A similar one happens in “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” with a different interpretation. Like it or not, it’s still an artistic choice.
