Instead of trying to decode the parking sensor signals directly, I decided to replay captured signals and see how the display responds. With some help from Codex and a few iterations, I figured out how the data is structured and managed to control the display from an ESP32. With that figured out, decoding the data coming from the original controller became much easier. I put everything into a library that can both read the controller data and control the display:
