me: ok we can't take in anymore cats, we don't have the space old street jank: I don't need much, look, I found my own spot. you won't even notice I'm here 🥺

we're so full right now but I couldn't say no to this senior boy who was living in a colony and was hit by a car. It happened 2+ weeks ago but I was just alerted to the situation yesterday. His pelvis is broken and his hind leg is now necrotic and infected and so painful.

nobody adopted this cat so now he's at the rescue because I'm weak and didn't want to see him released back outside but he is so huge and too big for our kennels and isn't having a great time tbh please adopt Stromboli! he is a good boy! 📍 SF Bay Area

live wonton update: she let a bug into the apartment and can't catch it because it's actually bigger and scarier than she thought it would be so she ran back out to the catio and gave herself a pep talk before returning to the scene

guess who got her buttons/jaw sutures and feeding tube out today!!! she has not stopped eating, chirping, purring, and playing since we got home 🥹 I'm so proud of perfect little Wonton, she's the most resilient girl in the entire world

hard to watch, but this is what stomatitis does to street cats who are left without vet care, suffering in pain until they eventually die from being unable to eat or drink if you'd like to help me save this guy and more like him, please pitch in:

I just visited her - she's purring, loving pets, and in good spirits. This kitten is trying to make biscuits in her splints... my heart is in pieces.

📍 SF BAY AREA good morning from Taffy, the senior cat left in the stroller. He's sad, confused, and so stressed. I try to spend time with him and get through to him, but he's so on edge and desperate for attention that he gets overstimulated and swats and chomps.

This is Lentil. He’s about 7.5 weeks old and half the size he should be - he’s a runt but also very skinny. Lentil has a condition called Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome. His chest is compressed and his lungs aren’t able to expand properly.

I don't know why she tolerates this

I am exposing Wonton for getting into the bag of stuff you guys sent from the rescue wishlist, stealing not one but SEVERAL pink spring toys, and playing with them all simultaneously with 0 remorse

Happy Sunday from Cheesecake Factory who has randomly decided Stanley is his best friend and Stanley who is a little confused but being really polite about the whole situation

I can't keep defending her against the brain damage allegations when she acts like this

I would kill and also be killed for this weird little cat

he also seems to love Wonton so she's been helping a lot, they often just sit with each other, play through the gate or roll around together (her favorite activity). thanks tonton

I have been trying to keep them in pairs because they're all very close but unfortunately at this point, they just need homes. soon I'll have to start posting them as singles so they have a better chance, that's just the sad truth

He eats very well and seems healthy otherwise, and is in great spirits for a guy who has already endured so much in his short life

I've been very busy and never provided context for this but it was Smokey who conveniently required hospitalization on the 4th of July 🙂‍↕️ but he's #back and feeling good now

breaking both of your arms, your jaw, your entire face, undergoing 2 intense surgeries within 48 hrs, having your jaw sutured shut and a feeding tube in your neck = not enough to stop Wonton from enjoying a saturday night churu

thought I was going to get some sleep last night but I got word of a senior stray who was attacked by dogs and then hunkered down in a wet box she found unfortunately telling me an old cat is Damp and Sad is the #1 way to get me to drop everything and disobey traffic laws

Smokey is feeling so much better :) as promised, he's getting right back to work making biscuits for everyone who has donated toward his care

Mr. Oof is starting to accept head pets ❤️‍🩹 he's just still as a rock. when I pet him, something in his eyes makes me think he might've once known the gentle touch of a human, maybe a long time ago before his life went to shit, and he's trying to trust it again

I put Moonpie and Chickpea together this weekend for space reasons (they'd never met) and now I'm watching them just be girls together ✨

This is Boris. Boris is pretty sad because he's been living a rough life on the streets with entropion, a painful condition where his eyelids roll inward so his eyelashes constantly rub against his eyes. He also has a bad tooth that's really bothering him.

Wonton brought in a bug from the catio and is now experiencing a moral crisis (watch with sound)

thriving, bonking, emitting cute noises... she has a recheck with her surgeon tomorrow!

when Wonton was in critical condition and had a CT scan, everyone was shocked that she didn't sustain a brain injury. now I understand how... it's hard to injure something you simply do not have
