This one pisses me off! Watch the national anthem closely. Sophie Cunningham stands there the entire time with her hand over her heart. Straight respect for the flag and the anthem. Meanwhile Caitlin Clark is standing in the same line and her hand is nowhere near her heart. Not for a second. This isn’t some random teammate. This is the face of the league. The most marketed player in the WNBA. The one who benefits more than anyone from the American sports system, American fans and American money. And she can’t even put her hand over her heart for 90 seconds while the anthem plays? I don’t care how good you are at basketball. I don’t care how many records you break. Standing for the national anthem with your hand over your heart is non-negotiable. We’ve watched this same soft disrespect creep through sports for years. Players treating the anthem like an inconvenience. 🚨I’M DONE WITH CAITLIN CLARK
