We’ll do the start, see where we are and then if there’s anything to do, we’ll try and play that game to win.” “If there’s nothing to do then we’ll just try to maximise [points].”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2109224565222044061/amplify_video_thumb/2109224513716006912/img/9jnSgTrRZ5nL2VLZ.jpg)

#AzerbaijanGP 🇦🇿 | Lewis Hamilton post qualifying: “Pretty bad qualifying once again. It’s not for the lack of trying. Q1 and Q2 pretty okay. At least Q1 was pretty decent, Q2 we struggled a little more.” “Then as we went into Q3 they changed the plan, instead of doing two plans, we ended up waiting, because I was ahead of Charles I had no one ahead of me and no tow so that was worth quite a chunk in itself.”

![#BahrainGP 🇧🇭 | Lewis Hamilton supports Ferrari’s decision to back Fred Vasseur: “In terms of how [the team statement] unifies the team, I think we already were unified. Honestly, outside sources seem to be so negative towards us as a team and trying to break our spirit, but they're not succeeding.” “So, people can continue with the negative narrative, but inside everyone's working really hard. Fred is the guy to lead us, he's doing a fantastic job. If you look at the history, how many people they’re swapping out of that role, I feel like it's in a better place than it's been before.” “But ultimately, it's not a one-man situation, it's lots and lots of people coming together. And, you know, if you want to point fingers, point it somewhere else. There’s people above [Fred] that are also a part of it as well, you know. It's a lot, a lot of people.”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2105578379051241702/amplify_video_thumb/2105578353105281024/img/z-k6zwT2-ElOYqZy.jpg)

#SingaporeGP 🇸🇬 | Lewis Hamilton pre-race: “First, we got an amazing crowd! I mean, today’s gonna be so hard, I’m just trying to prepare myself for it the best I can.“ “But I feel good, I think we’ve got a good car. If we can work on the strategy, hold on to Max, apply the pressure, I think anything is possible today.”

#ItalianGP 🇮🇹 | Lewis Hamilton says his qualifying laps got delayed: “A very tough session, just in terms of getting consistency… ultimately we didn’t execute that well.” “My first lap felt really good in Q1 and I stopped to save the tyre and then went into Q2 and I was meant to do a push cool cool push, but because Charles didn’t want to go out they delayed delayed delayed so I only got one push and… yea… that was basically the whole session.”

#AzerbaijanGP 🇦🇿 | Lewis Hamilton says “interesting discussions” will be had if he gets a penalty for impeding Lawson in FP2: “I’m waiting to find out what they’re gonna say but I’ll tell you, we’re gonna have interesting discussions if there’s like a penalty from it cause, as I said, it’s Friday and it’s not changed anybody’s weekend. We’ll see. Hopefully they’ve understood and hopefully we’ll work together to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

#BahrainGP 🇧🇭 | Lewis Hamilton believes he could’ve won the race if he had started on a different tyre: “Yep! Yea, I mean, mixed emotions. One side I’m really really grateful to have gotten back to the podium, and then the other side, obvious, with the debates we were having in the background, to then see the covers come off the car ahead and them on wets and us on slicks, and the track being so tricky and dangerous at the beginning… It was definitely… Yea, my heart sank and I thought that’s the race over.” “Then they were like “should we stop?” and I was like no! we already made the decision we have to live with it and we stay out here until this bloody place dries. Eventually it did, then I just kept my head down, kept pushing, didn’t give up.” “I definitely didn’t expect to get back to P3. It’s crazy to think we were over a minute down.” “But the team did a good job on the pit stops. I wish we had longer and more opportunities, that safety car at the end was a blessing and helped me get on the podium.”

#MiamiGP 🇺🇸 | Lewis Hamilton says he didn’t consider the time off F1 a “break”: “I didn’t really have a break. It’s been interesting like, people looking at it as a break. We’ve been just given more time to focus.” “I’ve been at the factory every week, a lot of training, spent a lot of time with my physios… What else? chiropractors, recovery, just a lot of sports. I didn’t take any time off. Just really focusing on it.”

![Lewis: “to be up here with him whilst he got his first pole, and now to get the first win.. It’s truly special – I remember getting my first [win]…” Kimi: “I was one year old, by the way.” Lewis: “You were born in 2006, right? That’s ridiculous!” 🤣🤣🤣](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2033140587973443962/amplify_video_thumb/2033140519992172544/img/JceyNcE7rTHPxFnK.jpg)
#BahrainGP 🇧🇭 | Lewis Hamilton pre race: “It’s starting to rain now which is kind of exciting but, I dont know whether that’s gonna stay. It’s gonna be a really challenging race. But I really hope that we can just race. I hope that we can stay in the fight and hopefully we can deliver a good result today.” “I’m gonna give it absolutely everything to try and hold on and fight with Max.”

![🚨 | Lewis Hamilton on Mercedes’ compression ratio: “What’s clear is that they didn’t show the engine power through any of the practice because of the whole talk on the compression issue. They’ve done a really solid job with their engine, which we have as well but I’m trying to understand why it's 2 tenths or more just through power per sector... And so, if it is the compression thing, I wanna understand why the FIA haven't done anything [or] what’s being done to rectify it.”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2030189780718268767/amplify_video_thumb/2030189729208061952/img/yuvkX9GE9IMDEVR1.jpg)

#AzerbaijanGP 🇦🇿 | Lewis Hamilton explains the impediment incident with Liam Lawson and says it’s more regulations error than driver’s fault: “I was just with Liam, naturally it’s never an intention, I think, from any driver, to get in the way. Basically with the way the rules are set, when you come round the last corner to start your lap, you have no K, so you have no battery deployment, it’s just the ICE basically. It’s something like 500 horsepower less.” “There’s no guidelines also, of how big a gap you have, to understand the closing speed that you’re gonna have, with the guy that’s on the lap. I was four seconds ahead, I thought, this looks big enough, I go on the power, and once I got to T18, the speed deficit was huge and there was nowhere I could go at that point.” “Unfortunate but it gives us good guidelines on what to change, potentially, for tomorrow. But that’s not the driver’s fault, that’s what the FIA did on their decisions, at the beginning of the year. We’re trying to manage the best we can, as drivers on track.”
