We just stopped in downtown SF because we saw a father and son playing wiffle ball in the street. Kids name is Rio. This made my year! We stopped traffic and played for 30 minutes! What it’s all about. They’re Giants fans of course

It was such an honor to be inducted into the Sacramento Baseball Hall of Fame last night. When you think of all the great players from the 916 and how they played the game and what they represent, I am truly humbled to be included. Guys like Larry Bowa, Steve Sax, Greg Vaughn, Fernando Viña, Rick Schu, and Logan Webb, and many, many others. There's a commonality and way players from Sacramento play the game.....WE PLAY HARD. We brought out hard hats and it's been passed on from generation to generation. If you're from Sac, simply put, you're a GAMER. So once again, thank you to Joe McNamara and the committee for even thinking of me. For a kid that signed for a thousand dollars and spent 6 years in the minor leagues, I never thought I'd be in any HOF anywhere ever.
