It’s official, no Mike Evans this week vs the Eagles. I know Quinyon Mitchell will be disappointed by this as he and Evans went at it last year with Evans telling him he didn’t know who he was. Then he went to the sidelines and said Mitchell had the most juice out of anyone on the defense when they played last year. Guess we will have to wait until the next matchup to see if Evans knows who Mitchell is now.

Eagles/Raiders 2005: The Akers Limp Kick Game The Eagles came into this one beat up, especially at QB and Kicker. Donovan McNabb was battling a groin injury and David Akers had a bad hamstring which he re-aggravated on the opening kickoff. That injury hung over the entire game. Thankfully, Philly had Brian Westbrook (Brian Westbrook) who absolutely carried the offense with 208 total yards and 2 TDs, plus Terrell Owens, who posted 9 catches for 80 yards and a TD despite being shadowed by Hall of Famer Charles Woodson all afternoon. The Raiders tied it 20–20 late, but McNabb gutted through the pain to engineer a final drive to set up the easiest kick possible for the hobbling Akers. And in one of the gutsiest moments of his career, Akers drilled the game winner before collapsing in pain, sealing a 23–20 Eagles win.
