😅 A journalist gave Amorim his “best XI” with Rabiot and Modrić in midfield. Amorim reminded him that just last week, the same journalist said Milan’s best XI was the second half against Lazio — a lineup that didn’t even include Modrić. That was Amorim’s point: there is no fixed best XI. Fitness, opponents, form and what you need from the bench all change from game to game. Even the journalists’ preferred lineup changes every week.

Do we not think this team had holes? Calabria at RB. An aging Kjaer. Saelemaekers and Brahim Diaz both 22 and still unproven. Meïté and Krunić coming off the bench. This wasn’t a perfect team either. But with the right coaching and chemistry, they went to Turin and beat Juventus 3-0. Our team now isn’t perfect — but we need to give the coach and these players time to find that same chemistry and fight for each other like this.
