Full Video ~ Fr. Chad Ripperger Explains: Demons fear the intercession of the Saints. Demons don’t just react to prayers… they recognize authority. He explained that in some cases, demons will even identify certain saints as their “nemesis” because those saints lived the exact virtue that destroys the sin they’re rooted in. He pointed to Joan of Arc. She was condemned by a corrupt ecclesiastical court, largely driven by political pressure and the ambition of certain leaders, including a bishop seeking favor and advancement. She was accused of charges like heresy and disobedience, but behind it was a deeper injustice. Yet her life told a different story. Total obedience to God. Complete purity of mission. Unshaken courage under persecution. No grasping for power. No compromise. Only fidelity to God’s will, even to the point of death. So a spirit rooted in pride, ambition, or betrayal would be directly opposed to a soul like hers. And this is why exorcists call on the saints. They’re not just praying alone. They’re asking for the intercession of those who already overcame those same battles through God’s grace. The saints’ union with God gives their prayers a real strength that even demons recognize. This is how the Church fights, not alone, but together. When you call on the saints, you step into that same reality.
