Every region in Italy has a dish with a story… and this one might just be the most dramatic of them all 🇮🇹 Spaghetti all’Assassina, or “The Killer Spaghetti,” was born in Bari in the 1960s, right inside a small restaurant called Al Sorso Preferito. Legend says it got its name because it was so spicy and intense, it could “kill” your taste buds. What makes it special? The pasta isn’t boiled... it’s cooked directly in tomato sauce, layer by layer, until it becomes crispy, caramelized, and just a little bit burnt on the edges. That’s what gives it its iconic smoky, bold flavor. Over time, this fiery recipe became a symbol of Southern Italian creativity... simple ingredients, fearless flavor, and pure passion on a plate .

Southern Europe is being engulfed by massive wildfires fueled by extreme heat and strong winds. More than 10,000 people have been evacuated in France, wildfires have scorched over 32,000 hectares in Spain, and in Sicily dozens of people have been injured and forced to flee their homes.

Between Lacanau and Le Porge, just as it seemed to be extinguished before my eyes, the fire suddenly reignited, and firefighters formed a column to prevent it from crossing the road. Perched atop a farmer's water tank, along with numerous members of hunting associations mobilized with their water reservoirs, there was complete solidarity in the effort to save forests and homes from the flames. 🎥 ©frederic_munsch_
