I've been at MetaMask 🦊 for over four years now. I've helped ship a lot. but today is the one closest to me. Finally the 🦊 Agent Wallet is live. Here's why it matters for years: putting an agent on a self-custody wallet meant choosing between giving it the freedom to actually act or keeping the funds safe. you couldn't have both. most "agent wallets" picked freedom and crossed their fingers. we killed that trade-off. Agent Wallet is the first self-custodial agent wallet that reaches all of defi > swaps, > perps, > prediction markets > LP across every EVM chain and Hyperliquid. and every single transaction runs through mandatory security: simulation, threat scanning, MEV protection. agents can't opt out of it. Basically, you stay in control. set your limits, and anything outside them needs your sign-off. autonomy and safety stop being a trade-off. For this pre-holiday season, I thought I'd dig into Uniswap v4 hooks 🎄🔧 v4 hit $1B TVL in 21 days (v3 took 45). Here's why devs are paying attention: Hooks are smart contracts that execute at specific points in the pool lifecycle: → beforeSwap / afterSwap → beforeAddLiquidity / afterAddLiquidity → beforeRemoveLiquidity / afterRemoveLiquidity This unlocks protocol-level customization that was impossible before: 0:37 v2/v3 limitations: fixed fees, static logic, no flexibility 0:52 Hook capabilities: dynamic fee models, on-chain Oracle integration, custom execution strategies 1:07 2,500+ hooks deployed already 1:14 Real use cases: volatility-adjusted fees, MEV protection via private mempools, automated LP rebalancing The architecture shift: hooks run inside the pool contract, not as external wrappers.
