Every dollar you pay in federal sales tax goes to pay interest on the debt. Stop overspending: Carney is on track to spend $6.5 billion over his own budget. Slash uncompetitive taxes: The government could help Canadian businesses survive tariffs and improve competitiveness by ending the industrial carbon tax, scrapping costly fuel regulations, making gas tax relief permanent and eliminating the undemocratic alcohol escalator tax.

RANT: Ottawa’s government entitlement culture is insulting. The Governor General took another raise, bringing her salary to nearly $400,000. The Governor General can bill you for up to $130,000 for their clothes. The Governor General gets a $150,000 annual pension for life. A former Governor General can bill you up to $200,000 every year for the rest of their life and up to 6 months after their death. We need a culture change in Ottawa!
