Hey Colorado! The ProtectKidsColorado ballot measures are the best opportunity this November to change the direction of our State! The truth is, the Colorado Government is refusing to protect kids. Laws to ensure that child predators are locked up have been shot down at the Democrat-controlled Legislature. Not only that, but bills to protect girls’ sports and stop harmful surgeries on children have also been blocked by Democrat lawmakers. Thankfully, Colorado has Erin for Parental Rights and the team at Protect Kids Colorado. Protect Kids Colorado assembled an army of over 3,000 volunteers to collect a record breaking number of signatures to put three important ballot measures in front of voters this year! Colorado voters will have the opportunity to protect kids without relying on a government that has no interest in doing so! In this video, Erin Lee explains what it took to get these initiatives on the ballot and how they would change Colorado if voters approve them in November.

The Colorado State Legislature and the Governor have exceeded their authority. They are planning on OUTLAWING the use of Natural Gas in Colorado homes. This means no gas furnace, no gas water heater, no gas stove, no gas fireplace, etc. It’s a complete abuse of power and wholly illegitimate. This political authoritarianism is a reminiscent of a policy the Soviet Union or Communist China would enact. The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is appointed by the Governor and they deserve blame. But most of the blame belongs to the Democrat-majority State Legislature who are forcing these policies upon us. BREAKING: After 3 Hours of debate, HB26-1281 narrowly passes the House on third reading.. This bill lowers the penalty for murder in cases of "extreme indifference" with some exceptions... Before this bill takes effect, a person can be charged with first degree murder "when an individual knowingly engages in conduct with an attitude of universal malice manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life generally that creates a grave risk of death to a person or persons, and which conduct causes the death of another person." For example, someone shoots into a crowd or randomly kills someone by acting in "extreme indifference" to human life. After this bill takes effect, to be found guilty of First Degree Murder caused by "extreme indifference," a criminal would have to kill "more than one person, a child under 12, a first responder," or kill "one person and also cause serious bodily injury to two of more persons by means of a deadly weapon." Otherwise, just killing one person with "extreme indifference" will only result in Second Degree Murder... That's right, literal murderers will have lower penalties thanks to Colorado House Democrats...

Colorado voters will have a lot of big decisions on the November ballot. Right now, you may have noticed that signatures are still being gathered for initiatives outside of grocery stores. One of these measures is currently called “#308 Designate Sporting Goods Sales Tax Revenue for Conservation” and this measure will rob Colorado taxpayers of our TABOR tax refunds. If you are asked to sign this one, please decline to sign! You probably haven’t heard about this ballot measure because it hasn’t attracted the media attention that some of the other election issues have.
