Dr. Bonnie Henry just now: "If you've had covid recently, you've had a boost to your immunity. So that's a good thing." No, Dr. Henry, getting covid is NEVER a good thing. It won't help or improve your immune system. Your immune system isn't a muscle, and covid isn't the flu.

Today, Dr. Bonnie Henry said schools "aren't the focus of where we're seeing transmission of SARS-CoV-2." Why is she lying? She co-authored a peer reviewed study last year that demonstrated the opposite: This virus transmits easier in our schools than in any other setting.

The key thing to understand about this spurious, coordinated attack on SEAN ORR, is that many of his most vocal attackers are still mad he was the one who publicized the video of Selina Robinson making scandalous remarks about Palestinians—words that ended her political career.

Covid is still disabling and killing people at a rapid clip, but for a year Dr. Gustafson has believed that you need to forget all that "and go back to everything you knew before 2020." Telling doctors to work sick and to risk infecting colleagues and patients is part of that.

Dr. Bonnie Henry on 2023/01/13: "Wearing masks is not going to make a tremendous difference in the transmission of these viruses." Public health has lost the plot.

Dr. Henry just told us that the increased transmissibility of the new variant is "good news" because it will lead to increased cases "and compete with other viruses, other strains, other such variants as well." This is staggeringly wrong.

Two days ago, Dr. Bonnie Henry claimed that proper precautions were followed, and that the air crew who transported the infected hantavirus person or persons was at no risk. We now know that Henry's reassurances were false.

Dr. Bonnie Henry just said that we catch H5N1 by rubbing it into our eyes or from inhaling the virus, but then said the only thing we need to do to prevent catching it and other viruses is to wash our hands. 🤦‍♂️ She never mentioned wearing N95s and the like.

Minister Selina Robinson's resignation "did not come as a result of the elected political opposition...but by unelected people." Indeed.

This morning, @CBCStephenQuinn tried to get BC's Provincial Health Officer to recommend masks without equivocation. Dr. Henry would not. It's not hyperbole to say that more infections will occur over the next weeks and months because of her inability to recommend masking.

Today, B.C. Premier David Eby said that Minister Selina Robinson had used her position and authority to "increase division in our province." Eby then called her words hurtful, belittling, and dismissive, before deciding to do exactly nothing about it. This is unacceptable.

A protester confronts Dr. Henry and her failed policies: "Why did you abandon disabled people? Your policies are not kind. We are not safe. Covid is still happening. People are left dead and disabled every day. I don't want your words, I want you to do better. Get fucked."

Today, @drclairetaylor, a UK-based GP who has seen hundreds of Long Covid patients, spoke to the Scottish Parliament about the seriousness of the condition, as well as how the healthcare system is failing to address it. This #longcovid story is being repeated around the world.

Last week Dr. Bonnie Henry was reading out infection stats like she's talking about sales numbers on an investor call. "So we're up 10% over the year!"

This was Dr. Bonnie Henry talking about granting permission for the Rugby 7s games to go ahead in March 2020, despite admitting that community spread was already happening. In the moments that mattered, our officials failed.
