‘The Arctic Giant’ (1942), an animated Superman short, was the first movie to feature a gigantic re-awakened dinosaur terrorizing a city. It notably predates ‘The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms’ (1953) and ‘Godzilla’ (1954) by a decade.
