I know that won’t go down well with Arsenal fans, but I just don’t see them finishing above Manchester United and Chelsea. For me, those two clubs will fight it out for first and second. United are building something that I think could surprise a lot of people, while Chelsea have the quality, depth and ambition to be right at the top of the table. Arsenal are a good side, there’s no doubt about that, but I think they’ll find themselves chasing the top two rather than competing for the title. If I had to predict it today, I’d have United and Chelsea fighting for the Premier League, with Arsenal finishing third or fourth.

They've been very consistent under Mikel Arteta and they've done a lot of things well, but at some point you have to turn those good seasons into trophies. I just don't think they're at the level where they'll dominate the Premier League. When I look at the teams around them, Liverpool are always going to be there because they know what it takes to win the title, and Chelsea are the side that really catches my eye. They've recruited very well, they've got exciting young players mixed with quality, and under Xabi Alonso I think they'll take another big step forward. Everything seems to be moving in the right direction for them. For me, Liverpool and Chelsea are more likely to be the two teams fighting for the Premier League next season. Arsenal will still be competitive, but I think they'll fall short again because the teams around them have improved more and look better equipped to go all the way."

I look at the way they are operating in the transfer market and I just don’t understand it.
