An example of trading the Mini / Micro Spread. I sold 1 ES out of the opening range today, and that gave me 10 MES to trade out of. I bought 2 MES at the payline to pay for my trade and remove my risk. I bought 3 MES to take profit at the 1st target (6872-74), then I tried adding a few times at 6872. The market failed to break further so I peeled a few MES off to take additional profit. The RTY was rallying and the churning action at 72, lead me to believe that was all we were gonna get.

An example of trading the Mini / Micro Spread. I sold 1 ES out of the opening range today, and that gave me 10 MES to trade out of. I bought 2 MES at the payline to pay for my trade and remove my risk. I bought 3 MES to take profit at the 1st target (6872-74), then I tried adding a few times at 6872. The market failed to break further so I peeled a few MES off to take additional profit. The RTY was rallying and the churning action at 72, lead me to believe that was all we were gonna get.

An example of increasing your size without increasing your risk. What we call stacking a target in ThePAXGroup. I sold 6930 and put a scratch stop in when the market gave me a point of protection. Then I sold more at 6928, was filled at 28.25. Moved stop to scratch on the 28s and paid for the trade using the micros. 28s wound up scratching out but the 30s were good for another 15 pts.

An example of exiting the Mini / Micro spread for increased profit opportunities. I was long ES from the Opening Range and sold MES in stages at the Payline, and 1st and 2nd targets. I was long 1 ES and short 7 MES. When ES came back into the opening range I got stopped out of that leg. At the same time MES got offered back into the OR, so I placed a buy stop at the OR high to lock in that profit, while giving myself the upside potential for the market to break below its OR and extend lower. I was able to take some profit on the MES at the 1st downside target ahead of 6714 at 6717. The market came back into the OR after failing to break so I covered the remaining MES at the ORH.
