💥Big News💥 Today, Maven is expanding beyond cohort-based courses into workshops, coaching, consulting, and resources, launching the home for human expertise on the internet. For five years, we've been the category-defining platform for cohort-based courses. We still believe it's one of the most powerful learning formats out there. A few weeks going deep with a world-class expert and a group of ambitious peers can change your career trajectory, make you an AI native in your field, or dramatically shift your perspective on how you work. But AI is moving fast, and sometimes you need quicker, shorter learning experiences. You may want a two-hour workshop on a new tool. Or a coach who can answer a specific question in thirty minutes. Or maybe you need the template or system or skill that tells you what you're doing wrong and gets you moving. The format should serve the learning goal. Now it can. We just launched 150+ new one-day workshops. Check them out here:

The consensus in education is that AI will replace the teacher. We’re launching the opposite bet today. I believe humans are going to be more powerful, more creative, and more important in an AI future. That’s why we’re launching Maven as the home for human expertise. Where humans can build superpowers and learn from those at the forefront of their fields. Learn from Humans. #learnfromhumans

A few critical early decisions define a startup's path to PMF At Udemy, the non-obvious decisions were: focusing on paid courses, having an open marketplace, running asynchronous courses. These were very contrarian decisions in 2008-2010 when we made them! At Maven, we're making a huge step forward today and I wonder if it will be one of our big non-obvious decisions. Today, we’re launching hybrid cohort-based courses - allowing instructors to blend both recorded content and live sessions into a more scalable and engaging course. For students, hybrid courses mean less time listening to live lectures, more hands-on exercises, reviewable video and written content, live Q&A, and live discussions with their peers. We used to feel dogmatic about live being the focus of a cohort-based course, but we’ve seen so many examples of amazing courses that students love that are hybrid. This 2 min video is a great overview of the Maven course product. We’ve made a lot of progress in 2.5 years!
