Poor Cornetto urinates himself if you simply look at him or get too close. 💔 How can a three-year-old Galgo end up in this condition if hunters love their dogs so much? He isn’t even prepared for the most basic things in life. Cornetto deserves so much better. Let’s get him out of the kennels and into a loving home where he can finally feel safe and learn what kindness is ❤️ A simple share could change his whole world. Please help Cornetto. 🙏🐾

Bonnie, the Golden Retriever, arrived at GDS a few days ago along with some other dogs from China. Bonnie was found on a meat truck with an injury to her head. Her destination… to be eaten. 💔 These dogs were on their way to their new homes in the UK, but sadly, the rules regarding entry have changed and they were unable to travel to the UK from Spain. Kerry from Candy's Hound Rescue International asked if we could help Bonnie, the Golden, Rita, an older Husky, and Selene, a Greyhound. Of course, we said yes! ❤️ Bonnie is understandably a little stressed in kennels. She must have been someone’s pet, or at least experienced love and kindness at some point in her life. Just look at how obedient she is and how much she wants to please people. 🥹 Is this a typical Golden Retriever trait? She’s only our second Golden, so we’d love to hear from you! Bonnie is learning so incredibly quickly — although perhaps she simply had it in her all along 🥰 Bonnie is approximately 2 years old and is looking for a loving home somewhere in Europe. She cannot travel to the UK. If you think Bonnie could be the girl for you, please contact us and mention “Bonnie the Golden”, as we also have a Galgo called Bonnie. From a meat truck to a loving home filled with adventures, happiness and love. 🐾❤️ Can we make it happen? Let’s give Bonnie the life she has always deserved. 🥹❤️

Noe wanted to die not long ago but since being operated on his leg and hip he’s doing great ❤️ Yesterday was the great UN-CONING and even better news we are talking with someone about a forever home ☺️ Did you think you would ever see Noe happy after his tragic story?

RAMOS CAN’T WAIT MUCH LONGER 😞‼️ We are trying to focus on the scared overlooked ones and Ramos is a perfect candidate. He arrived 2yrs ago and used to wee himself when you looked at him. He does come out on walks and does ok but generally the kennels are scary for him. Ramos is 6yrs old desperately waiting for his quiet home. Someone out there surely has what he needs? ❤️ Plz share 🙏🏻

OREO NEEDS YOU‼️ Oreo has been here 18mths now and he’s just not improving at all. Simple case of… he needs out of the shelter. He’s 5yrs old, gentle but very scared and now doesn’t even want to come on walks. Who can be a hero to this wonderful boy Oreo? 🙏🏻❤️

RIVER COLLAPSED‼️ Sadly River took a turn for the worst and we are waiting to confirm if it’s neurological caused by the parvo or just weakness. To remind you that parvo pups generally don’t have big fluffy beds as materials like blankets are thrown away every 6 hrs as they get pooped on and are contagious and dangerous. We use the plastic beds which are cool in this heat and easy to sterilize with a solution that kills parvo. Thank you! Our focus is to save River ❤️

The Millipedes are sadly dying one by one. Despite our amazing volunteers helping with bottle and tube feeding it’s just not working. It looks like we will likely lose all but one. One is strong, possibly the first one to be born. RIP to those gone so far 🌈❤️

Kiwi is on treatment for leishmania and the worst has happened. His kidneys were ok but he’s gone into kidney failure very quickly. He’s such a big gentle giant and honestly it’s not looking good. Please send him a nice message 🙏🏻❤️ We need him to make it 😔

Gorgeous Droplet from the Bucket pups is lagging behind in growth and strength. He is eating so we are just giving him extra recovery food to help boost further but he remains teeny tiny. Mind you, I think he’s wearing more food than he’s eaten 🫣 Send love and hope for Droplet to pull thru 🙏🏻❤️

Sorry no posts today... we found this poor old abused dog whilst trying to rescue a galgo & can't leave without him. We’re working on it. Sadly its so hard to get a denuncia, the police havn't come. He must be in terrible pain so whatever happens we’re taking him today!

Katalin didn’t deserve this 😡 We need your help. Katalin has been treated appallingly by a potential adopter and as a result has missed out on other much needed homes. Katalin was reserved for a home in Sevilla. Everything was approved but the adopter wanted to wait until November before picking her up. Just recently we checked in as the time was getting closer to start finalising everything and the adopter told us she had adopted another dog. I can’t believe she wasn’t even going to tell us whilst Katalin was marked as reserved on the webpage. I’ve never felt so appalled at the lack of education by people that claim to care about these dogs. Many of you will say Katalin had a lucky escape. I agree, but she’s lost out on other homes. This leaves me feeling really sad for Katalin mainly because she’s struggling so much in the kennels and does so much better once outside, so going home soon is a must for her. Can we make up for this and share her far and wide to try to find her another home? 🙏🏻❤️ Let’s all together get this worried girl a proper home ❤️ Katalin is a sweet gentle girl approx 3yrs old, very sensitive and will need time to bond. Once she does tho you’ll have a best friend for life ❤️
