Sat down with Brother Martin 5-star WR Easton Royal this afternoon. He's committed to Texas, but LSU and Florida are in the hunt. I asked the No. 1 WR in the nation what's recruiting been like in July. “Honestly, this past month, I haven’t talked to a single coach or anybody from any school. Me and my mom have been sitting down, weighing out all the pros and cons, to make sure I make the best decision for me." It could take over a $1 million to land the 2027 recruit.

I asked Colorado transfer left tackle Jordan Seaton why he joined Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers: “My decision to come here was based off, it just means more. Coach uses that quote, it’s just different here and I really believe that. Being here is really just different. From how we train, to how we work, and the extra work around here. The No. 1 wide receiver in the nation, Brother Martin's Easton Royal, is down to three schools in his recruitment: Texas, LSU, and Florida. He recently canceled official visits to Ole Miss and Tennessee. Royal has been verbally committed to the Longhorns since November. His final official visit of the summer will be in Austin. "Obviously that's the school I'm committed to. I still want to keep my options open, and give LSU and Florida a chance." Longhorns, Gators, and Tigers all possess deep NIL pockets.

Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss gives high praise to his former head coach Lane Kiffin at Manning Passing Academy: “He knows his X’s and O’s. Kiffin has been in the coaching game for a while. He sees things other coaches really can’t see. Which I give him props to. Lane Kiffin on the return of Will Wade to LSU: "If you're passionate about a place and you're a really good coach, that's a really good combination. I know there's a lot of judgement about whether he should go and he just got there. Everything is everybody's story. You got one life to live. What they want to choose to do, and believe what their story is after they get the best information they can from the people that are closest to them, and they make their decisions. Caught up with LSU running back Harlem Berry this afternoon at House of Cards. I asked the St. Martin's alum why he's returning to the Tigers in 2026. How Lane Kiffin was going to use Berry in the Tiger offense was the overriding factor. Berry could be joined by Kewan Lacy for a dynamic 1-2 punch in the LSU backfield.

Ty Thompson started his college career as a quarterback for Oregon, then transferred to Tulane in 2024. Last year, he made the move to tight end and found early success in spring ball, but knee and hamstring injuries kept him out the entire 2025 season.
