A death sentence for our community animals. In a shocking move, the Supreme Court has ordered that all street dogs in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon & Noida be permanently confined in pounds — with CCTV to ensure none are released. The court has ignored Animal Birth Control rules, dismissed inputs from intervening parties, and even cited a Western movie dialogue to justify its stance. All this, despite zero human rabies deaths recorded in Delhi in the past 3 years. This is not just unscientific, it’s cruel and dangerous. If you care for street animals, now is the time to speak in one voice.

Delhi, your money built this. Rekha Gupta ji, this is MCD’s Ghazipur slaughterhouse today: conscious buffaloes hung upside down, live wires jabbed into animals to make them move, zero veterinary examination. Who benefits ? Not Delhi. The meat is packaged in Hapur and exported by a private Hyderabad company, while Municipal Corporation of Delhi runs the facility at public expense and looks away from open violations of PCA Act, FSS Act, EP Act, and a host of other statutes along with directions of the Supreme Court. Thousands of buffaloes a day. In the national capital. Under supervision of incredibly corrupt MCD officials This facility serves an exporter, not the people of Delhi. Please shut it down PERMANENTLY and fix accountability for every officer who signed off on this. I’m calling on everyone who cares about animals—advocates, feeders, rescuers, students, parents, faculty—to speak up now. If you know administrative heads at schools or colleges, public or private—where community dogs live, please reach out today and urge them to encourage coexistence and adopt an ABC-compliant plan. Removing healthy, vaccinated, sterilised dogs is not an option; it creates a vacuum that invites unvaccinated, unsterilised dogs and increases conflict. With respect, today’s directions are unconstitutional, inhumane, and contrary to India’s spirit of coexistence. SOS #Kedarnath Anna_Aanchal_Raturi found a rotting carcass which was bleeding on the track. Owners who abused this horse, now prevented her from filming. Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy & Fisheries will reward the killers with an insurance payout so they can buy another horse to abuse.

Today, The Hon’ble Supreme Court directed removal of stray dogs from schools, hospitals, and major public transport hubs, and asked NHAI and other road-owning agencies to remove stray cattle/animals from national and state highways and house them in shelters. With respect, these directions are not sustainable, conflict with the ABC Rules, 2023, and are practically not implementable at scale. The affected parties were not heard. Abuse of horses is at an all time high in #Kedarnath. Despite hundreds of instances reported, the DM Rudraprayag, his inexperienced political masters and insolent subordinates have refused to create an infirmary or rescue even a single animal. The death march has officially been increased to 10,000 horses, with no water, food, health check or safety precautions. Narendra Modi ji Amit Shah ji Pushkar Singh Dhami ji you are requested to please 🙏 take note. We cannot destroy our holy land and turn it into a kabristan of helpless abused animals.

SOS #Kedarnath This horse fell while carrying pilgrims. It is now unable to stand up so his owner kicked him a few times and then left him to die. Extremely weak and malnourished animals are routinely being sent on a death march. DM Rudraprayag help needed urgently.

Parvati has been found high up on the #Kedarnath track, with a fractured leg festering with pus &maggots. With help from vets &paravets of Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy & Fisheries, our team has given first aid to her &are slowly bringing her down. We are grateful to AHD Minister Saurabh Bahuguna for help.
