For anyone who’s wondering, this is the “men in suits” I was referencing during the FOI debate. David Eby is a man in a suit who is ripping up the last remnants of government transparency while running our economy into the ground. If any NDP cabinet ministers want to prove they’re indeed not meek, show us by voting against Eby’s autocratic agenda just once.

🚨 Is this the next shoe to drop on fee simple land title in BC? I can find zero explanation in the budget materials for Bill 2’s change to Section 19 of the Assessment Act. Maybe there’s a perfectly innocent explanation. But if unresolved land claims - or access restrictions flowing from First Nations land transfers - negatively affect the real world use and market value of land, British Columbians are right to ask why government is quietly changing the law to make sure it’s taxed at paper value anyway. People could be stuck paying inflated taxes on devalued land they can’t sell. #bcpoli
