Sleeping in a tent because house is destroyed. I promise if I can find this property on the map again tomorrow, I am stopping because this sucks. All hotels are almost full and people are unable to afford somewhere else to go so camping is the best option. For how long? Nobody knows.

10/6/24 Randomly landed in this area where the fire station is gone, houses no longer line the creek, roads are completely gone, bridge is split in two, and active search and rescue were taking place. Told power would take 4-5 months. We noticed no cell service so we were able to drop a starlink system to make sure they get connected. 📍Pisgah National Forest somewhere

We’re going to be heading up to the mountains tomorrow with a fuel tanker to deliver free gas and road diesel. Please bring a gas can but we do have limited supply of gas cans we are bringing as well. Location will be announced early tomorrow morning near Burnsville.
