Folks, this is far bigger than me. This is about you, your family, your children, and the country we all love. Breaking (the internet): CCP President Xi’s use of the term, “Thucydides Trap” during his opening comments to President Donald J. Trump has everyone wondering … WHAT THE …. ? Xi’s remark on the Thucydides trap is a classic piece of Chinese diplomatic signaling; polite on the surface, however, very sharp and pointed underneath. It’s a reminder to our president (and the world) that Beijing (Xi) sees itself as the rising power in a structural rivalry with a (supposedly) established hegemon (the U.S.), and that any failure to accommodate China’s ascent risks major conflict which the United States cannot afford (and there is practically zero support from the American people currently for more war and Xi knows it). Examining it another way, President Xi stated it intentionally to show China as Sparta (rising, dynamic, rightful heir to greater influence) and the U.S. as Athens (established but fearful and in decline). To some students of warfare, this may be an imperfect analogy, but the fact he used this phrase must be clearly and thoroughly examined. Xi is signaling that the U.S. should step back gracefully, especially on Taiwan (and never lose site of what Xi has already said about Taiwan; One (1) China, and he’s not backing down), checking trade & tech restrictions, and increasingly regional dominance, rather than the U.S. attempting to further impede China’s “rejuvenation” efforts. Essentially, it was a veiled warning: Push too hard (ie., on Taiwan or decoupling), and structural tensions could lead to an extremely dangerous place. Lastly, I believe Xi’s use of this ancient theory on warfare is explicitly tied to Taiwan tensions. At the same time, it’s cooperative language as well. Typical use of smart diplomatic double speak the Chinese are masters at. Xi addressing a new paradigm, a brighter future for humanity because he knows the world is watching and listening and studying. This is standard CCP diplomacy that keeps the door open for deals while putting the onus on the U.S. to avoid escalation. Bottom line, and like it or not, he let Trump know you’re in my house now and we set the rules here. FYI only, Thucydides wrote about the Peloponnesian War. The War (431–404 BC) was a devastating 27-year conflict between Athens and Sparta. It was driven by Sparta’s fears of growing Athenian (ie., U.S.) imperialism, the war ended with the total defeat of Athens, fundamentally altering the ancient Greek world and ending its “Golden Age.” The Peloponnesian war lasted more than two decades. I’d say we’re somewhere in the late third quarter and time favors the watchmakers and not the watch-watchers. We need to keep in mind that Donald J. Trump isn’t the only one who understands nor read the art of the deal.

America's Christian community is awakening and with that awakening comes the kind of moral clarity and courageous leadership that changes the course of nations. We have seen this before. . Mike Pence wants to warn Republicans about the “siren song of populism.” I want to remind him of what the last half-century of his “traditional conservative principles” actually produced. 1. It produced NAFTA. 2. It produced the WTO deal that handed China our manufacturing base. 3. It produced twenty years of nation-building in the Middle East while our own Nation crumbled. 4. It produced a ruling class of Republicans who won elections, controlled committees, gave speeches about limited government, and delivered NOTHING. Not one inch of a wall. Not one factory brought home. Not one federal agency, activity or department reined in. NOTHING, so stop with your BS! Mike, that is the path you want us to return to. You call it principle. I call it failure with a flag pin on the lapel. The American people did not drift toward populism. They ran toward it because the alternative was another decade of men like you (Vice President Mike Pence Archived) managing their decline while assuring them it was conservatism. We are done being managed. We are done being lectured. We are done watching Washington Republicans cash out while the country falls apart. There is no time for choosing, Mike. The choice was made (three times to be exact). The only person who hasn’t accepted it is YOU. You may as well be speaking to the hand! A travesty Rachel Maddow ??? They ambushed me in the White House without a lawyer, hid a massive amount of exculpatory evidence, significantly and intentionally altered FBI documents, and unleashed the full force of the federal government against me, a retired U.S. Army general simply trying to continue to serve our country AND also came after my family (so spare me your false anger). That is what a travesty looks like, Rachel. The settlements are called accountability. You might want to look that word up right after you finish apologizing to the American people for years of promoting the false Russia hoax hysteria that you nightly cried your way through on national television. Disagree on issues of substance and importance to our nation. Agree or disagree on foreign and domestic policy, but try at least once in your life or on your show to promote what is good in America.

SITREP: IRAN CONFLICT UPDATE Intercepted communications indicate Iranian sleeper cells inside the United States are being activated. This is the front that most Americans are not prepared for. Iran's Assembly of Experts has selected Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader. He is 56 years old, deeply tied to the IRGC, and more hardline than his father. He participated in the suppression of the 2009 protests. His power base is rooted in the most anti-American factions of Iran's military and clerical establishment. The situation did not improve when we removed the previous leader. It rarely does. Iran is executing a rope-a-dope strategy. They absorb strikes while expanding the battlefield horizontally through proxies and asymmetric action. We fought this same war in Afghanistan and Iraq. We lost both. No protest leaders have emerged inside Iran capable of organizing a viable alternative to the regime. The IRGC has not fractured. The protesters are on their own and at grave risk if U.S. forces withdraw before conditions change. Federal, state, and local law enforcement must operate with heads on a swivel. The threat is real. Congress needs to stop playing politics with DHS funding. Now is not the time. We are in this war whether we wanted it or not. The question now is how we define victory, how we protect the American people at home, and how we avoid repeating the mistakes of the last two decades. Those answers have to come fast. Donald J. Breaking: Understanding Enemy Doctrine—don’t kid yourself! You can eliminate a leader, but you cannot eliminate a doctrine. Iran has spent 40 years establishing a decentralized command structure designed to endure beyond any targeted strike. Bin Laden is no longer alive, and several top commanders of Hezbollah have been removed, yet these movements continue to survive and grow. This is the reality we need to grasp before we declare victory. Are we studying the doctrine, or merely counting the casualties?
