On May 19, 1536, King Henry VIII executed his second wife, Anne Boleyn, desperately trying to secure a male heir to continue the Tudor dynasty. He stripped their young daughter, Elizabeth, of her royal rights, branding her illegitimate. Henry VIII spent his entire life marrying six times and breaking away from the Catholic Church just to guarantee a male bloodline. But fate had other plans. His son, Edward VI, died young, and his eldest daughter, Mary I, died childless. On January 15, 1559, Anne Boleyn's daughter was officially crowned Queen Elizabeth Iand she exacted the ultimate, poetic revenge. By refusing to marry or be controlled by any man, she ruled alone for 44 years as England's greatest monarch. When she died on March 24, 1603, without an heir, she intentionally let the Tudor line die with her. Henry VIII destroyed Anne Boleyn to save his legacy only for Anne's daughter to destroy his bloodline forever.
