While I deeply appreciate the dedication and service of our security officers, I remain firmly convinced that my ultimate protection comes from God. I have faith in Him, and I feel safe among the people of Trans Nzoia, whose love, solidarity, and support mean more to me than anything else.

The new Tom Mboya Mother and Child Level IV Hospital is now complete! A huge thanks to the exceptional contractor for delivering this vital facility in record time. It is now ready to be handed over to the county government. Mothers and families, quality maternal and child healthcare is now within reach—we’ve got you covered! This is a major step towards improving healthcare access for our communities, ensuring every mother and child receives the care they deserve.

I strongly denounce the mistreatment and intimidation of the Butere Girls’ drama students in Nakuru. No child should ever be made to feel fear for expressing their innate talents through the arts. Drama, as a form of literature, is meant to reflect society it is an artistic portrayal, not a threat.

I speak with a heavy and sincere heart. As a Kenyan, a parent and a leader, I cannot watch what is happening in our country and remain silent. The dramatic abduction of Standard Group Associate Editor Alex Kiprotich, who was seized by armed men along the Gilgil–Nakuru road, held for hours and later found near Masinga Dam, should shock the conscience of every Kenyan. This was not only an attack on an individual; it raises a much bigger question about the safety of journalists and the freedom of the media in our country. If a journalist can be taken in such a dramatic manner, what message are we sending to every reporter, editor and ordinary Kenyan who dares to question power? Media freedom is not a favour from government. Freedom of expression is not a privilege. They are constitutional rights. His Excellency the President promised that abductions would stop. Kenyans deserve to see that promise honoured not only in words, but in action. If a journalist publishes something you dislike, answer with facts, not force. If a citizen criticises you, answer them politically not through intimidation, disappearance or fear. We must know who abducted Alex Kiprotich, why he was targeted, and who authorised or facilitated it. There must be a transparent and independent investigation, and whoever is responsible must face the law, regardless of their position or institution. Kenya cannot become a country where journalists look over their shoulders before doing their work, where young people fear expressing themselves, or where families fear a knock on the door at night. This is bigger than politics. It is about the soul of our democracy. Protect our people. Protect our media. Protect our Constitution. And end the culture of abductions and fear.

A Heartfelt Thank You I would like to extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude to all the pupils who took the time to send me birthday wishes. Your beautiful messages, innocence and genuine affection truly touched my heart. Knowing that our young people took a moment to celebrate with me is something I will cherish deeply. To my family, friends, colleagues, and the great people of Trans Nzoia who remembered me and shared their warm wishes, prayers and messages of goodwill, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made my birthday truly special and reminded me of the beautiful bond we share as a community. Our children are our greatest investment and the promise of tomorrow. Their love and optimism inspire us to work even harder to create a better future for them. Together, with unity, purpose and a shared vision, we shall continue building a stronger, more prosperous and united Trans Nzoia. With sincere gratitude and appreciation. 🙏🏽
