In 2014, I lost my big sister to a domestic violence relationship. Her love for music is what inspired my own — I wanted to be just like Candice but working in music has been a bittersweet journey for me. I’m grateful to be doing what I love, but it hurts knowing I’ll never get to share these moments with her. Jagged Edge is our favorite group. Since losing her, their music has been my only way of feeling close to her — it’s how I still hear her and hold onto the bond we shared. Yesterday, Hed and our producer Nae surprised me with a Jagged Edge interview. I was shocked and overwhelmed but in that moment, I felt her more than I ever have since our last hug. Thank you JE 🫂🤍
