Kerala leaders and the Chief Minister were able to build pressure and persuade Siddaramaiah to allot houses to illegal immigrants/occupants who had encroached on government land in Kogilu, Bengaluru. Now, the Karnataka government must firmly oppose the Kerala government’s Malayalam Bill, which is unconstitutional and vague. The Congress leaders who earlier pressured the Karnataka government for their own political benefit must now speak up in support of Kannada and Kannadigas, who are linguistic minorities in Kerala.
