This evening, Russian military planes violated Lithuanian air space. This is a blatant breach of international law and territorial integrity of Lithuania. Once again, it confirms the importance of strengthening European air defence readiness. Lithuania MFA 🇱🇹 | #StandWithUkraine will summon Russian embassy representatives to protest against reckless and dangerous behaviour.

On a day like this I couldn't be prouder of Lithuania. For a month, the people of 🇱🇹, a country of 2.8 million, have raised funds to buy Ukraine multifunctional tactical radars. Today they're gifting 11 million EUR worth of radars to help 🇺🇦 protect its skies&fight for freedom.

It was good to catch up with 🇺🇦President Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський in Cyprus. Ukraine keeps advancing on its European path despite Russia’s aggression. Lithuania stands firmly with Ukraine on its path to European future – 2030 should remain the target date for the 🇺🇦 accession. The accession talks should be formally started at the intergovernmental conference as soon as possible.

At the Summit in Kyiv, I proposed a set of necessary actions. We must urgently: - supply Ukraine with additional advanced weaponry, especially air defense; - facilitate the transfer of military technologies, support joint R&D projects, and “buy in Ukraine for Ukraine”; - expand training programs for the Ukrainian army; - ensure steady financial contribution to Ukraine's military needs; - accelerate Ukraine’s EU accession, setting a target date on January 1, 2030. There is no time to wait. Security in Europe depends on the security of Ukraine!

In Munich Security Conference, met with my dear friend Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський. Lithuania’s support for Ukraine is ironclad. Peace comes through strength, and we stand ready to further strengthen Ukraine’s defense. The only acceptable peace is one that is sustainable, preventing the aggressor from further threatening Europe and the entire democratic world.
