In 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came to Oyo State to plead for peace between the Adelabu camp and the Folarin camp so that Oyo State APC could work together and take the state back from OGA SOPE people After all the pleas from Tinubu, Chief Bayo Adelabu still decamped to Accord Party to weaken APC’s chances in Oyo State, yet President Tinubu still rewarded him with a ministerial appointment. The new Electoral Act does not encourage decamping after losing a party primary election. Now that Dr. Sharafadeen Alli has secured the APC governorship ticket ahead of the 2027 Oyo State gubernatorial election, we want Chief Bayo Adelabu to give his 100% support to Dr. Sharafadeen Alli so APC can take Oyo State back from the OGA SOPE people In the coming weeks, we will know whether Chief Bayo Adelabu is truly a loyal party man or if he only wants to use APC and President Tinubu’s support to become governor of Oyo State without having genuine love and commitment for Oyo State APC.
