The ladies majors have arrived this week with The Chevron Championship being played at Memorial Park in Houston, Texas. Here is some beautiful footage of arguably the greatest lady golfer of all time, Mickey Wright. Analysis by mini Hale Irwin. Mickey won 13 majors and 82 LPGA events in a relatively short career given she effectively retired at just 34. The same age as Byron Nelson when he retired. Both Byron and Ben Hogan said Mickey Wright had the best swing they had ever seen both men and women. When Ben Hogan said this to writer/journalist/historian Rhonda Glenn he slammed his hands on the desk in front of him to drive home his feeling on the matter. As Nick Seitz once said, no key on the typewriter can adequately convey when Ben Hogan wanted to really make a point.

The 6th at Oakmont in 1948 & 2025. Greens running beautifully in 1948. Long time Oakmont pro & 1947 US Open champion Lew Worsham. He famously holed a wedge shot for a 1 shot victory in the first ever nationally televised tournament 1953 George May’s World Championship of Golf.

Rest In Peace Kultida Woods. Putting together this photo montage from many Tiger books was an easy task, every photo full of joy and positive energy, which is how she will be remembered. Kultida played the role of an understated matriarch like figure in golf to perfection.
