For years, Dan Burisch claimed he cared for and studied an extraterrestrial at Area 51 between 1994-1996. According to Burisch, he was assigned to the alleged S-4 facility, where he spent years studying a living being known as “J-Rod.” He described J-Rod as a small gray with enormous black eyes, suffering from a degenerative neurological disease. Burisch claimed he collected tissue samples, communicated with the being telepathically, and eventually learned that J-Rod wasn’t an alien from another planet at all—but a future human who had traveled back in time. It’s one of the most detailed—and controversial—stories in UFO history. Then investigators looked into Burisch himself.
