Something I realized on my solo trip to the Valley of Flowers is that these people don’t really have any survival or financial skills. They just come to India with a budget of $1,000 a month, eat shitty food that even locals avoid, stay in dorms for $24 (for which locals wouldn’t even pay $5), and suffer when they could do much more with that money. So I decided to take them to the best places I could find, forced them to try Indian cuisine, and saved them $200+. (1/n)

Maybe this incident was the reason why Modi never misses a chance to connect with NRI’s and maybe I was wrong about them; they will always be Indian in their hearts and our success story will always include them.
