Pure, vile antisemitism..screamed at us across the park like it was normal. None of us reacted. We were stunned. You can see me turning my head, trying to make sense of what I was hearing. Eventually, he stormed off.. sped away in his car. But the words stayed. This is 2025. Not Berlin in the 30s. Not some war zone overseas. This happened in a public park — in America. To the credit of local officials and the MSL commissioners, police were notified immediately. Detectives got involved. The man was identified and told not to return. But don’t be fooled: This wasn’t just one deranged guy. This is what antisemitism looks like in real life. Loud. Unprovoked. Shameless. And happening under our noses. Watch. Listen. I’ve never heard a story like this in my life. Orit Esther Riter asked if we can speak off camera while we were recording this episode. She told me pretty bluntly, “I had an abortion before I was religious, should I talk about it?” I told her it was up to her and we can always edit if need be.. and if she feels it may help even one person in some way it would be worth it.
