He finished 6th and 3rd in the Heisman in his last two seasons. He's one of two numbers retired at Illinois, and has a statue. In 1962, they allowed 26 PPG. In 1963, it dropped to 9.9 PPG. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears and became of the greatest linebackers to ever live. On Saturday, the Butkus Award ceremony was held, and the top LBs in HS, College and NFL were presented.
