We must all do our part in the fight for freedom — from the workers in Scranton who make Pennsylvania the arsenal of democracy to the brave Ukrainian soldiers protecting their country. We stand with Ukraine in their just defense of their homeland in the face of Russian aggression.

We lost a fellow Pennsylvanian last night: Corey Comperatore. Earlier today, I spoke to his wife and his two daughters. They asked me to share that Corey died a hero — diving on his family to protect them from danger. I’ve ordered United States and Commonwealth flags to be flown at half staff to recognize the tragedy that shook Pennsylvania and our nation last night and honor Corey’s memory.

Got a great question recently about how we turn the temperature down politically. That’s just it, Timothy — in our democracy, it’s okay to disagree. But leaders have a responsibility to resolve those differences respectfully and actually work together, so we can find common ground and move our Commonwealth forward.

I’ve read your comments, letters, and texts. I’ve heard from so many of you all across Pennsylvania. You’re concerned about how AI data centers could change the character of your communities and affect your bottom line. So we took a hard look at data center development in our Commonwealth. And now, we’re taking action. Let me explain.

While my family and I were serving lunch to our local firefighters yesterday afternoon, the chaplain from the Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department gave me a letter signed by every member of his volunteer fire department. On the back of the letter, John wrote a prayer for our family from Numbers 6:24-26. He had no way of knowing, but that's the same prayer Lori and I make over our children every night. That prayer is so meaningful to our family — and for John to share it with us was deeply touching. Thank you to John and every Pennsylvanian who've sent their prayers and blessings over the last few days. You have lifted us up and given us strength.

If you walk through Downtown Harrisburg, you might be able to tell that Pennsylvania’s capital city — a city rich in history and culture — has fallen on hard times. But for the first time in a long time, we have a real plan to kickstart its revival. And that starts right now.
