Not long ago, we thought this might be impossible. But here we are: our Gaussian Splatting videos are now streamable, just like regular video. No download, no app. 4DGS plays instantly in the browser on headsets, phones and laptops, with no limits on splats or length. Give it a try:

We heard the floor was lava, so we removed it. Along with the rest of the background. One of the less obvious challenges in volumetric capture: the studio environment ends up in the scene. Until now, cleaning it out of 4D Gaussian Splats meant manual work, but not anymore: automatic background removal is now part of the Gracia pipeline, and assets come out stage-ready for any environment faster.

We teamed up with researchers at Meta Reality Labs at Meta to stress-test what's actually possible with Gaussian Splatting, and especially with volumetric video. Reconstructing buildings on a sunny day or celebrities in controlled studio conditions has gained a lot of traction. But what if the goal is to bring the viewer to an actual electronic rave, with zero compromises allowed? High-frequency strobing lights, fog machines filling the space with haze, complete darkness that clips the camera sensors to black. It was brutal, but together we pulled it off. We're proud to present a teaser of our joint project: an actual performance of 'Patience' by NYC electronic duo MEMBA, captured in full volumetric format and optimized for a wide range of devices. We didn't design this reconstruction around what the tech allows. Instead, we customised our pipeline to make the experience as immersive as possible. More details coming soon.

The Dynamic Gaussian Splatting at Gracia starts on PCVR The day has come. Dynamic scenes are now available in the Gracia store, and you can check them out already. But that’s not all: 25x lossless compression, arbitrary length, infinite FPS slow motion, robustness to lighting conditions, novel object introduction, near-perfect temporal stability, and plenty of ongoing improvements that will continue rolling out. Dynamic scenes are now available on standalone Compatible with Quest 3/3s, and at long last, the standalone app with the same scenes is available for Pico 4/4 Ultra. Background downloading has also been added, so you can take off your headset while the scene downloads.
