Before replying, please pay close attention to this scene. This drama received a lot of criticism, especially for the changes it made to the original webtoon. One of the biggest criticisms was changing the female lead’s profession from a teacher in the webtoon to an office worker who became the male lead’s employee in the drama. Some viewers claimed that this pushed a male-dominance narrative, reduced the female lead’s independence, and placed her in a position where she was more at the mercy of the ML. I was reading some discussions about the drama recently, then I came across this interesting debate about this particular scene. So, both the male and female leads were drunk when they had a onenight stand, which later resulted in a pregnancy. Some viewers insisted that the drama should have placed the responsibility solely on the male lead, ‘he should have exercised more self control’ ‘the female lead didn’t give her consent’. so it was a back and forth convo as others felt that based on what was shown in the scene, both characters gave consent and therefore shared responsibility. With all the conversations today about consent and responsibility when alcohol is involved, how would you interpret this scene? P.S. They didn’t know they were employer and employee until after that night.

Why do you think Sua can’t disrespect Mido the way Taesung disrespects Namgoong? Bcs Sua knows how much Namgoong respects Mido. He has never opened his mouth to tell Sua anything about Mido that she could use against her. But Mido, on the other hand, has not only told Taesung things he could see as Namgoong’s weaknesses, her actions have also given him hints. How did Taesung even get to know Her father died bcs of Namgoong? So I don’t fully blame Taesung for how he acts towards him, she gave him the license to. I was actually thinking about how they were going to blend the part of him being divorced, being her boss and also being in love with her. This is such a good xter dev. He yearns for her, he looks after her, he cares about her, but the very one thing he couldn’t do, was bring himself to think he has the right to decide the direction of their relationship and that’s why he says “okay” to whatever she says. I think he feels inadequate because of his divorce and as the older one, he’s taking responsibility.👏👏 #SeeYouAtWorkTomorrow
