Georgia has had one base runner all game. Tre Phelps just broke through with a two-strike HR after Georgia got out of a jam in the top of the sixth inning He was ejected for this celebration. UGA manager Wes Johnson was ejected for arguing afterwards Georgia leads 2-1 after 6

Steve Spurrier’s hatred for Georgia started when UGA beat his 7-0 UF team in 1966 Up by 4 TD’s with 1:10 left in 1995, Spurrier ran a reverse pass to become the first opponent to score 50 in Athens A freshman backup named Kirby Smart was on the field…

UGA QB Ryan Puglisi said today that he is coming back for a 3rd year at UGA. He’s long been different from most modern recruits Here he was at Elite 11 in June of 2023, when #1 recruit Dylan Raiola was committed to UGA too “I don’t want to go anywhere else besides Georgia.”

Quite a moment just now as we went to the 4th quarter… The Alabama band played on and on as UGA fans waited for Krypton. Eventually Georgia fans loudly booed. Then they began defiantly chanting UGA. Then they put their 4’s up. Defiant energy from the Dawg fans here in Atlanta

Mike Bobo was the QB for this play call in 1996 against Texas Tech He pitched it to Hines Ward, who flipped into the end-zone to give UGA a two-point conversion at the end of a rainy 15-12 win Today, Bobo called the same play with his son on the field Life’s rich pageant man

After reviewing the Kirby Smart timeout deal… Auburn DB was clapping (simulated snap). Smart wanted a penalty and was clapping to official but eventually called a timeout. Head ref knew clapping should be a flag so he didn’t charge timeout. Ball reset.

There is an irony in Cody Campbell spending millions to convince people he should be the great reformer of college sports before ultimately showing that he’s just another rich guy who is happy to bend the rules if it means his school wins a few more games

CJ Allen was a projected Round 1 guy all year and hurt his knee on Nov 15th. He could’ve shut it down to prep for the draft, but he played 13 days after knee surgery because he loves football and couldn’t imagine not finishing with his guys. That makes him a fucking dog. Allen didn’t go through full workouts yesterday or at the combine because his knee is still swollen. When he made those decisions in November he either a) knew it was possible it could effect his draft process but loves football too much to care, or b) was too fixated on his responsibility as a leader and a player to worry about anything else. However you do the math, he’s still a dog. Accounts like this want football players who love football right up until loving football changes how they workout in shorts. My guess is that the NFL team who takes Allen will be the kind who values tape over combine hype, recognizes his excellent football IQ, and wants players who love football because they love it instead of loving football for what it can give them. Those are the kinds of front offices who usually compete for championships. He seems to move just fine in pads

Told our subscribers a month ago that a QB who is going to flip from UGA to Vandy for guaranteed early playing time isn’t the type of QB who is going to be successful at UGA UGA functions at its highest levels with a certain personality type at QB. Are you an F-150 or a Lambo?

What did we learn today? It’s time to stop talking about separation between the top of the Big Ten and the top of the SEC. The SEC’s best teams just play more losable games It also might be time to stop assuming Georgia is too flawed to compete in the CFP. Everyone else is too
