Just 11 days after we won in court, we are now seeing what appears to be a pattern of obstruction around basic resupply. Yesterday Keir Starmer’s Gov sent police and environment officers to the island. Today they send police and immigration officers to inspect the humanitarian supply boat. Are they just checking that certain essential equipment, including a water purification unit they cruelly said the boat couldn’t take, isn’t onboard? Preventing or hindering access to basic supplies risks creating a situation where people are effectively forced off the islands by other means. Is this Starmer’s plan now? This raises profound concerns about fairness, proportionality, and compliance with the spirit of the Court’s ruling.

Palm Sunday on Chagos. 🌿 In pouring rain, Misley stands on sacred ground, praying for his people, for justice, for the right to remain. A return filled with faith, memory, and quiet courage. This is not just a moment, it is history unfolding. #Chagos #PalmSunday 🇮🇴

Update from First Minister Misley on the #Chagos Islands. Have you ever seen a more beautiful beach? Other countries want to profit from these islands. But they are British and must be kept so. In the Chagossian resettlement plan “nature and the environment is a huge priority.”

MADNESS! Imagine thinking it's more secure leasing than owning. This is insanity from Defence Secretary John Healey and it flies in the face of his political colleague, Admiral Lord of Spithead who said in June 2025: "How can the base - which serves as an indispensable naval, air, and intelligence asset - be more secure under the sovereignty of another nation, rather than our own?"

Update from the Chagossians. “Life is good but it could be better.” Yes, better I’m sure if Keir Starmer and the BIOT Commissioner Nishi Dholakia had allowed essential donated items such as a water purifier and a mattress, onto the islands. Why the cruelty Sir Kier and Nishi?
