The former England star told hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid that the book which details his battles with addiction and recovery away from the pitch has already saved lives and if it helps just one person then he has done his job. Gascoigne said he is the happiest he has been in five years but admitted some days are still hard adding he now wakes up has a coffee and plans the day rather than battling his demons. He revealed his alcohol withdrawal was so horrific that he drank up to 30 cans of Red Bull a day after quitting booze saying he started with a few at the gym then escalated until he was downing them constantly. The 59 year old described sitting motionless on a rock for four days only saying good morning and goodnight during the worst of the withdrawal. Gascoigne who won 57 caps for England and played for Newcastle Tottenham Everton Lazio Middlesbrough and Rangers has spoken openly about his long term struggles with alcohol and health issues. A British man taunted fellow passengers on a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Tenerife by strutting dancing and singing down the aisle before the plane was forced to divert. The disruptive behaviour led to the flight being diverted to Faro in Portugal on June 10 after crew called ahead for police assistance. The man shouted I'm dressing up I'm dressing down as some passengers laughed while others hurled abuse and one even tripped him up. Police met the aircraft upon arrival in Faro and removed the two disruptive passengers before the flight continued on to Tenerife South. Ryanair said it has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will take decisive action against those involved. Footage of the chaos on board showed the man being encouraged by another passenger while others shouted at him to sit back down.

Chilling CCTV footage shows French mother and stepfather calmly driving with their two young sons happily playing in the back seat, just moments before they allegedly abandoned them in remote Portuguese woodland. The video, captured at a petrol station in Miranda do Douro on May 11, shows Marine Rousseau, 41, from Colmar in eastern France, and her partner Marc Ballabriga with 5-year-old Barthélémy and 3-year-old Zacharie. The couple had driven over 1,000 miles from France before blindfolding the terrified toddlers in the woods near Alcácer do Sal and telling them it was a twisted “game to drive away the devil” they had to dig up a buried knife to cut off the blindfolds. The parents then drove off, leaving the boys completely alone with only small backpacks containing spare clothes, fruit, biscuits and water. Hours later the little boys were found screaming and crying on the side of a quiet rural road, covered in dirt and bruises. Marine and Marc have now been arrested in Fátima on suspicion of child abandonment and endangerment. The boys are safe in foster care and will be returned to family in France.

Haslam said she would never have booked if she had known describing the experience as bizarre and shocking for a family holiday with some verbal residents moaning in front of the children. She complained to the tour operator who removed the hotel from sale while investigating apologised for the experience and issued a full refund of the accommodation cost but ruled out further compensation. The tour operator stated hotels set their own policies on guests which is outside their control and the evidence provided was not sufficient for additional claims.

A 13 year old British schoolgirl was punched in the face by a 'Spanish yob' during a fight that broke out over her allegedly sitting on someone's sun lounger. Shocking video footage shows a girl in a green bikini knocked over on to a chair and repeatedly hit by a man as dozens of terrified tourists screamed at the family hotel in Santa Susanna, Spain. Several British holidaymakers were said to have jumped in to help the girl as a man in orange swim trunks was seen being forcibly held back and it was claimed even hotel staff were 'too scared' to break up the chaos. The fight is said to have unfolded after the teenager sat on a sun lounger but was unaware it was already being used. She was rushed to hospital with blood all over her face and a broken nose while others were left with cuts, black eyes and grazes, according to The Sun. The thug's friends reportedly also got involved in the physical row by hitting the young girl as locals claimed the group were 'Spanish gypsies'. At least six police and an ambulance were called to the scene and the British family were moved to another resort after the teenager was treated. A witness told The Sun: 'An innocent girl of 13 was punched in the face by a yob after she sat on an empty lounger. She had no idea that it had already been in use by another family.
